Senior Process Engineer (m/f/d)

Job Description:

The role focuses on improving processes, equipment, and machine features in both lot and project-based environments. Responsibilities include collaborating with design, production, and technical teams to integrate new products, conducting hazard analysis and risk assessments, and identifying process deficiencies. The role involves redesigning products, conducting market research, and creating engineering documentation. It also includes testing prototypes, providing training, resolving product issues, and supporting assembly and sourcing activities. The position may act as an internal project manager and ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create new ideas / suggestions and improve process, equipment and machine features for both lot and project based environments
2. Liaising with design, production and technical departments to ensure smooth integration of new equipment and products into full production and existing machine portfolio
3. Execution of hazard analysis and risk assessment according to CE regulations
4. Defining of spare and wear parts
5. Identifying deficiencies/weaknesses (with supporting data and calculations) in processes/components and developing improvements
6. Meeting with business management, Sales, Assembly, internal R&D members, Procurement and suppliers to discuss product ideas
7. Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functions
8. Redesigning of products to enhance equipment functionality/application, reduce lead-time, due to product end of life (obsolete) or to reduce cost
9. Creating design projects and specifications sheets including test instructions for new process/parts implemented
10. 5S activities are carried out at own workspace frequently & practised throughout relevant R&D offices
11. Presenting product designs/prototypes to management, Sales or customer
12. Overseeing the engineering of product prototypes
13. Development and distribution of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) to all relevant department or personnel
14. Testing & documenting prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use, and longevity
15. Resolving product/equipment issues both internally (Assembly, Service, Carrier Tape Production & inter plant support) and externally (Customer) either by remote or physical support
16. Conducting and documenting training to personnel from Assembly, Training Center, Service, Carrier Tape Production, Sales or customer
17. Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocations and tracking resources for on-time completion of tasks/projects/evaluations
18. Act as internal project manager for development/evaluation projects when and if assigned to
19. Preparing documents on critical analysis and providing solutions for corrective/preventive actions
20. Perform hands-on assembly in Assembly & Carrier Tape department when and if the need arises
21. Support selection and purchasing of items, technical support for sourcing of parts, e.g clarifying questions and specifications with suppliers
22. Other tasks assigned by superior

Requirements:

1. Strong background in manufacturing / semiconductor industry
2. Experience in engineering / quality tools, like QFD, Q mapping, FMEA, statistics analysis (DOE, SPC etc), good technical knowledge and trouble shooting skills
3. Good command of MS Office and MS Project
4. Possess good written and verbal communication skills
5. Analyze technical / process tasks and develop creative and cost-conscious solutions
6. Independent, hardworking and possess the right initiatives
7. Practice-oriented, aim / goal oriented, ability to work under pressure
8. Assertiveness, distinct organizing skills, professional team spirit
