Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is currently seeking applicants for a Senior Process Engineer.

Job Location:
This position will be located at Krubong, Melaka in a vibrant industrial area. You will experience different exciting local cultures in this historical state. Nearby are malls and various restaurants. It is also close to recreation parks and a stadium.

What you will be doing:

1. Responsible for developing a robust process and continuously driving improvement for stability, quality, productivity, and yield to meet KPI.
2. Wire Bond expert, responsible for achieving robust and auto-pilot processes.
3. Provide technical consultation and guidance to the team to ensure team success in daily tasks and projects.
4. Support development of new technologies and ensure smooth take-over into volume production and integration into the manufacturing environment.
5. Accountable and drive for 8D closure of FAR, MRB.
6. Lead and participate in yield & quality improvement and cost reduction activities.
7. Act as a technical expert in new material, process, and method qualification.
8. Generate and update relevant documents, e.g., Process Specification, WI, PFMEA, DFMEA, SPC, DR.
9. Provide inputs for updating related documents and be responsible for their correct contents, e.g., Process of Record, Assembly Design Rule, Process Roadmap, Failure catalogue, Control Plan, Maintenance checklist, and others for development projects.
10. Liaise with suppliers for continuous improvement and perform verification and qualification activities for new tooling, machines, and materials in Project Improvement.
11. Identify and develop new process technology and improve process capability to meet current situations and new requirements.

What you will bring along:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Automation, Electronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or related).
2. More than 3 years of related experience in Wire Bond Process Engineering or in Semiconductor Assembly Manufacturing background. Familiarity with Wire Bond Process Data Analysis (Statistical methods, data mining), and first-level reliability (Knowledge of various failure modes, knowledge of application and respective reliability requirements and test standards).
3. Knowledge in Au and Cu WB in WB platforms such as ASM and SKW.
4. Knowledge of statistical analysis software such as Minitab and SPC.
5. Statistical data analysis, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
6. Systematic Problem-Solving methodology e.g., 8D, Process Mapping, Fish Bond.
