Senior Operation & Maintenance Technician (JB)

Responsibilities

1. Conduct routine inspections and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems, not limited to DC and LV components and connections.
2. Responsible for all electrical systems and civil works in the solar PV plant to ensure compliance with regulations and enhance system health.
3. Attend to electrical breakdowns related to solar PV systems, initiate fault diagnosis and corrective actions.
4. Establish and maintain proper documentation and related records through the channels provided for all corrective and preventative maintenance.
5. Conduct QA & QC inspections during project executions to ensure project quality meets the standards.
6. Establish effective communication and maintain proper documentation and related records through the channels provided.
7. Supervise and monitor any works related to solar PV systems performed by appointed Contractors.
8. Provide Inspection Report, Preventive Maintenance Report, and any product warranty claim report including inverter, PV module, data logger, etc.
9. Manage and maintain assigned company vehicle (if applicable).
10. Manage, maintain, and sustain spare parts and tools inventory.
11. Support and involve with O&M related works at the Southern region as per instructed by Engineer.

Requirements

1. Possess 3 years of working experience in an environment involving operation and controlling low voltage electrical equipment.
2. Possess sufficient knowledge and skills in wiring for LV installation.
3. Extensive knowledge of electrical theory and troubleshooting skills.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
5. Possess sufficient knowledge of the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and its regulations.
6. Possess valid Chargeman A0/A1 certificate from Energy Commission (ST) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
7. Good computer literacy.
8. Customer-oriented, independent, and good interpersonal skills.
9. Possess valid driving license D, and GDL will be an advantage.
10. Good communication in both Bahasa Malaysia and English (verbally as well as written).
11. Physically and mentally strong and fit.
12. Able to work on weekends and public holidays if required.
