Senior On/Off Site Geologist

Solaris Minerals is a dynamic mining company based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are actively working in several states (Pahang, Perak, Kelantan & Johor), conducting exploration in several sites and are committed to becoming the No.1 Rare Earth Player in Malaysia.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Geologist to lead our exploration efforts and play a pivotal role in shaping our rare earth mining operations. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, collaborate with international experts, and contribute to Malaysia’s growing rare earth industry.

Job Description:

1. Lead and manage exploration teams across multiple sites in Malaysia.
2. Evaluate and interpret geological data (soil samples, drilling logs, geophysical surveys) to assess rare earth deposits.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and resource estimations to determine mine viability.
4. Work closely with SRK and other consultants to survey and evaluate land plots in several states.
5. Develop and implement exploration strategies, including target generation and drilling programs.
6. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
7. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders, including government bodies and investors.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.
2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mineral exploration, preferably with exposure to rare earth elements (REE) or other critical minerals.
3. Strong knowledge of GIS, geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Surpac), and data analysis tools.
4. Experience in resource estimation, mine planning, and feasibility studies.
5. Proven ability to lead field teams and manage exploration projects.
6. Familiarity with Malaysian mining regulations and environmental policies is a plus.
7. Willingness to travel frequently to remote sites.
