Senior Offshore Structural Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Offshore Structural Engineer to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur.

Successful candidates would be offered a fixed term employment.

About the mission we offer you:

1. Perform as Leads / Sub-lead / Senior Engineer in project execution and take ownership of specific tasks in a project.
2. Technical responsibility of Material Requisition.
3. Performing Design Calculations.
4. Coordination with other disciplines.
5. Forecasting of MTOs for design area.
6. Reviewing vendor documents.
7. Correctly interpret 3rd party reports such as geotechnical, bathymetric survey, metocean data for incorporation into structural design basis.
8. Ensure optimum engineering design compliance to codes and performance and timely issuance of engineering deliverables to Client.
9. Prepare updates and check calculations for detailed engineering.
10. Contribute to optimization of material quantities by proposing value engineering solutions.
11. Ensure contractual technical specifications are met by the suppliers, adhering to committed manhours and budget.
12. Ensure timely internal and external reporting on engineering/requisitioning activities to the group leader.
13. Meet quality objectives of the project.
14. Interface with other discipline specialist engineers and possibly project support functions such as procurement and planning.
15. Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers.

About you:

1. Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 7 years experience in design and execution of projects in offshore facilities.
2. Minimum 3.5 in CGPA or 2nd Class Upper.

Analysis and Tools

1. Advanced user of SACS engineering software.
2. Frequent user of USFOS.
3. Frequent user of GRLWEAP.

Substructure and Topsides In-Service Analyses

1. Static in-place.
2. Dynamic in-place.
3. Spectral Fatigue.

In-Depth Knowledge of Pre-Service Analyses

1. Lifting analysis.
2. Load-out analysis.
3. On-bottom.
4. Pile driveability analysis.

Nice to have
Analysis and Tools

1. Frequent user of SESAM.
2. Frequent user of Abaqus / Ansys.

Substructure and Topsides In-Service Analyses

1. Seismic analysis (ELE and ALE).
2. Blast and fire structural collapse analysis.
3. Vibration analysis.
4. Wind fatigue analysis.
