Senior Network Technician

About the role

As a Senior Network Technician at TERMINAL TECH SDN BHD, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising the company's complex network infrastructure. This full-time position is based in Shah Alam, Selangor, and offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of the company's information technology systems.

What you'll be doing

1. Proactively monitor and maintain the company's network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues in a timely manner to ensure uninterrupted operations.
3. Implement and configure network security measures to protect the company's data and systems.
4. Collaborate with the IT team to plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
5. Provide technical support and guidance to users on network-related matters.
6. Document network processes and procedures to maintain knowledge and facilitate knowledge transfer.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and industry best practices.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Network Technician or similar role in the Information & Communication Technology industry.
2. Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and equipment (e.g., TCP/IP, Cisco, Juniper).
3. Proven experience in network administration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
4. Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
