Senior Network Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Establishes networking environment by designing, implementing, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
2. Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g. routers, switches, firewall, load balancers, VPN, wireless AP, etc.).
3. Manage LAN network infrastructure and perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
4. Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
5. Liaise with internal sales, project manager, and vendors for communicating project status and problem resolution.
6. Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
7. Prepare and attend meetings for project kick-off or technical clarification.
8. Communicate with customers while investigating or providing problem resolution.
9. Provide expert advice on technical proof-of-concepts evaluation.
10. Participate in system integration and user acceptance tests, and compile customer configuration profile documentation.
11. Lead network/security deployment projects.
12. Obtain job-related Industry Certification for principal partnership requirement.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Science & Technology, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
2. Required skill(s): LAN, WAN, Enterprise Network & Wireless, Firewall, IPS.
3. At least 4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
4. Good knowledge in network troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
5. Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model, MPLS, GPON, Network Security.
6. Hands-on experience in Routing, Switching, Wireless & Security.
7. Hands-on experience with Design, Deployment, Monitoring, Network diagnostic, and Network analytics tools.
8. Possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
9. Good working and learning attitude.
10. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. CCNP, CCIE or HCIE certification is advantageous.
12. Required language(s): English, Mandarin & Bahasa.
13. Preferably Senior Executives specializing in IT/Computer – Network/Security or equivalent.
14. Applicants must be willing to work in The Boulevard Office, Mid Valley City, KL.
15. Candidate willing to travel outstation on a project basis.
16. Candidate willing to standby 24x7 (rotation basis).
