- Monitor and maintain stock levels across all outlets to meet demand.
- Ensure timely restocking of fast-selling items and manage slow-moving inventory.

- Source and select sportswear and retail products aligned with Original Classic’s brand identity and customer preferences.
- Evaluate supplier offerings for quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate costs, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to maximize cost efficiency.
- Analyze sales reports to understand product performance and identify trends.
- Propose strategies to boost sales and address underperforming product categories.
- Research competitor pricing, product offerings, and promotions.
- Gather customer feedback to refine product selection and identify new opportunities.
- Ensure all products meet the Original Classic quality standards.
- Address and resolve issues with defective or substandard goods in collaboration with suppliers.
- Work closely with store teams to ensure smooth stock management and merchandising efforts.
- Align purchasing activities with marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.
- Prepare reports on inventory, sales performance, and procurement activities.
- Highlight key achievements and recommend actionable improvements for future operations.
Job Requirement
1. Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Diploma holders with relevant experience may also be considered.
2. Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or a related role in retail, preferably in the sportswear industry.
- Proven track record in inventory management, product sourcing, and supplier negotiations.
3. Skills:
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and inventory reports to make informed decisions.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate costs, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers.
- Organizational Skills: Proficient in managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for liaising with suppliers, team members, and management.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality assurance and accuracy in reporting.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, inventory management systems, and other relevant software.
4. Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of retail operations, especially in the sportswear segment.
- Familiarity with market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities in the retail industry.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management practices.

Founded in the year 2005, ORIGINAL CLASSIC HOLDINGS set up its first outlet at Berjaya Times Square in Malaysia. Starting out as a back-end operation in Malaysia’s sport footwear and apparel industry, we provided merchandising, trading and supplying to retailers and distributors.
