About the role

PAN CONSULTANCY SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Kelana Jaya, Selangor. This full-time position is a crucial role that will contribute to the strategic objectives of our Mechanical Engineering department. As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading complex engineering projects and providing expert technical guidance to the team.

What you'll be doing

1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative mechanical engineering solutions to meet client requirements.
2. Oversee the execution of mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
3. Analyse technical data, identify potential issues, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
4. Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
5. Mentor and provide technical guidance to more junior members of the engineering team.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering processes and standards.

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a senior mechanical engineering role, preferably within a consulting or project-based environment.
3. Proven track record of leading the delivery of complex mechanical engineering projects.
4. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
5. Strong technical expertise in areas such as CAD, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and materials science.
6. Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools, including CFD, FEA, and project management software.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or equivalent professional certification.
