Responsible for overall project review, planning, implementation, progress monitoring and hand over of assigned project in respect of site work complying with budgetary, health, quality, safety, security and environmental standards as required by law and conformance with the contract documents.
Responsible for project plan and review, resource planning and establishing project-specific document control system at office in accordance with the quality management system.
Responsible for preparation of PQP and preliminary Overall Work Programme for approval.
Ensure supporting site submissions e.g. work schedule, method statement, material samples for approval, drawing, etc are timely and satisfactorily executed.
Oversee contractors’ work for compliance and ensure that inspections are carried out in accordance with the Contract.
Attend meetings and monitor site progress of the project. Prepare progress reports and deliver presentations as required.
Responsible for the implementation of approved health, quality, safety, security and environmental plans at site.
Responsible for the implementation of material acceptance, storage, preservation and control of non-conforming product procedures at site.
Review contract documents and negotiate with contractors regarding contract terms.
Overall administration and management of the works under the Contract.
Oversee inspections and tests carried out in accordance with the Contract.
Overall coordination, review and submission of progress payment to the Customer and facilitate timely payment to sub-contractors and suppliers.
Responsible for administration of EOT, VO, CPO, CPC and/or LAD (whichever is applicable).
Assist in tendering process and/or business proposals, tasks include but are not limited to:
Carry out contract review to ascertain Customer’s salient requirements (if necessary);
Risk identification/assessment and discuss with Management on appropriate controls (if any);
Planning of outsourcing strategy, work schedule, construction methodology, and preparation of technical deliverables;
Obtain the Management’s final approval timeously.
Provide technical and management direction to the team and ensure good practices of the project delivery system.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Management.
Requirements:
Must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
At least 10 years of relevant working experience in Construction company and Consultancy Firm.
Experience in diversity projects would be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of relevant regulations and familiar with local authorities’ requirements.
Good communication skills and able to liaise efficiently and effectively with consultants, contractors/sub-contractors, suppliers and all levels of staff.
Ability to effectively solve problems and conflicts.
Able to take challenges, results driven, proactive and has an eye for construction quality details.
Excellent organizational skills with proven track record of completing projects within budget, time and quality.
