Job Summary

We’re looking for a highly driven individual to support the Group Finance team in various financial responsibilities. Based in Malaysia and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and the VP of Finance, you will gain exposure to a wide range of experiences and embark on an exciting learning journey.

What You Will Do

• Support and provide in-depth financial analysis, commentary, and recommendations to the group’s senior management for informed decision-making.
• Work closely with the group and country leadership teams to formulate the business's medium- to long-term financial and strategic plans.
• Partner with and support business heads in building annual budgets, reforecasts, and subsequent monitoring mechanisms.
• Review the existing budgetary process, monitoring, and control; suggest and lead improvement initiatives related to this process.
• Enhance the group’s management reporting structure, processes, and framework, including month-to-date, month-end, quarterly, and annual reporting and reviews.
• Support requirement gathering and testing for future planned FP&A-related system enhancements/deployments.
• Prepare business cases to support new investments, strategic initiatives, and other business decisions.
• Provide insights to senior management on financial modeling, forecasts, and profitability.
• Support the preparation of data, analysis, and reports used for investor reporting or fundraising purposes.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance or accountancy, with at least eight years of working experience in commercial finance, financial planning & analysis, or financial modeling.
• This role requires a strong understanding of IFRS and regular interaction with country finance teams throughout Asia. Candidates should be comfortable with and familiar with remote working arrangements. Occasional business travel within Asia may be required.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an excellent command of the English language.
• Strong business, commercial, and financial acumen, with demonstrable analytical and critical thinking skills. Prior experience in the automotive or tech sector would be an advantage.
• Independent self-starter with a penchant for problem-solving and a structured approach to scoping and crafting detailed solutions.
• Familiarity with Tableau/Power BI, EPM software (such as Workday Adaptive or Anaplan), and NetSuite ERP software would be an advantage.
