Job description

In your new role you will:

Operation Team Lead on Sampling

Management of engineering samples across all OSAT subcon (globally located).

Facilitate & support Business Units/Division on engineering sample request.

Representing OSAT ES on management meetings and reporting of Subcon under team’s care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Expert matter on SPO via Febes and OSAT ES rules.
  2. Add on project and task as assigned by Functional Manager from time to time.
  3. Monitor staff performance.
  4. Assist staff work progress and handle escalation.
  5. Manage and delegate ES team’s responsibilities and evenly distribute subcon portfolio to strengthen BU support.
  6. In charge of staff development, planning and motivation.
  7. Set goals and objectives to be aligned with company’s target.
  8. Establish & maintain control of OSAT subcons with worldwide location.
  9. Define the DR & CT (KPI) target & driven to meet KPI.
  10. Formulate guideline & process flow for Samples request.
  11. Work with Planning to aid in prioritization process on assembly and test.

ES Management:

Support all Business Units/Divisions and all other organizations (ATIC, Package TD, TTI, PE, Silicon Tech, Fab, Foundry) that are globally located.

Manage volume of samples of ~800 orders per quarter.

Track and monitor open request of ~350 orders at any one time.

Plan & implement procedures & systems to maximize efficiency.

Manage ES database & maintain integrity of data.

Provide visibility of status & completion date via intranet site.

Maintain good communication, understand, anticipate & plan to meet requestors' needs.

DIV/BU Support & Interaction:

Maintain high customer service mindset with aim to meet samples request deadlines.

Establish ES guidelines for sample request & regulate compliance.

Drive improvement for error-free submission.

Internal (IFX) and External (Subcon) Communication:

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments including procurement, Finance, Supplier Manager, Ops & Planning, and management.

Reporting:

Facilitate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports.

Analysis of ES data as a tool to understand where improvement is needed most and govern changes as necessary.

Introduce innovation and institute automation for better efficiency.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  1. Masters/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Microelectronics/Mechatronics/Semiconductor Technology) or Business Management.
  2. Technical and assembly process knowledge a plus.
  3. Leadership skills.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  5. English language requirement. Chinese language an added advantage to support customers.
  6. Min 5-6 years managerial position in handling engineering samples or Planning role.
  7. Experience in Subcon management.
  8. Experience in process/manufacturing of semiconductor a big plus.
  9. Leadership in small to large corporation.
