This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Economist/Head in undertaking all the macroeconomic research and to lead all the econometric modelling & portfolio analysis. Responsible to provide insights, influence key internal stakeholders, and contribute to shaping the Bank's business strategies.

Job Description

Macroeconomic Monitoring and Reporting

  • Develop comprehensive macro-monitoring reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Assess risks to the Bank's current portfolio and recommend actionable new business opportunities.
  • Provide medium-term projections and insights to guide the Bank’s annual business planning process.

Econometric and Scenario Modeling

  • Deliver ICAAP stress tests for Group Risk & Compliance and Group Credit Risk to ensure sound risk management.

Impact Analysis and Reporting

  • Perform input-output analysis as a cornerstone methodology for the Impact Capital Report, highlighting the Bank’s contributions to development outcomes.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for strategy-related initiatives.
  • Serve as a key advisor on economic trends and policy implications that align with the Bank’s growth objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement and Research

  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities to foster strong relationships and gather insights.
  • Undertake in-depth research to support the Bank’s strategic objectives and align with its vision.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in economic analysis or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of econometric models and their application.
  • Proficiency in econometric modeling software (e.g., Stata, EViews, R).
  • Exceptional economic report writing skills, particularly in macroeconomic and industry-specific analyses.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and effective communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships effectively.
