Job description

Assist the Chief Assurance Officer by overseeing the corporate assurance function and to ensure appropriate and consistent focus on risk areas in the review work.

Aspires to support Group’s Vision and Mission in becoming the Leader in Building Sustainable Communities, by adopting more proactive and predictive instead of purely a reactive and control based approach. This enables GCA to anticipate possible future concerns and opportunities as well as identify current issues and help the management to avoid surprises.

Undertake strategic planning and implementation of the assigned GCA team’s development requirement (review practices and employee development) and effective management of administrative functions for the efficient operation of the GCA work.

Audit Plan & Budget

Develop the annual GCA plan and prepare the budget for GCA team.

KPIs and Appraisals

Ensure achievement of key performances indicators (KPIs) set.

Audit Strategies, Workplan and Execution

Develop and coordinate strategies and work plans, and oversee their implementation, for effective GCA contribution in the continuous improvement of the Assigned Area’s control environment.

Special / Investigative Review

Formulate review objectives and strategies for the execution of special and investigative reviews and/or confidential reviews and manage the reviews.

Quality of Reporting and Follow-up

Ensure high quality standards, consistency and effectiveness in the reporting of all review issues and recommendations to contribute towards operational improvement, proper profiling, follow-up and closure of issues.

High-profile / Ad-hoc Review

To lead high profile / highly sensitive review / special investigations / ad-hoc reviews as requested by CAO.

Talent Management

Assist the CAO in managing GCA’s human capital assigned to the team and the resources requirements of the assigned GCA team including, among others, performance evaluation, developmental needs and succession planning, to ensure continuity, consistency and enhancement of the teams functions and performance.

Liaison with Key Stakeholders

Maintain good and effective liaison with key stakeholders to clarify business and operational issues and provide consultancy role and value-added recommendations for improvement.

Professional Development

Undertake continuous professional development so as to contribute towards enhancement of GCA methodologies and global best practice. This includes observing good practices and accepted or applicable auditing standards.

Operational Effectiveness and Efficiency

Enhance the practices of GCA teams to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness of the team’s function through continuous improvements.

Customer Satisfaction Survey

To obtain feedback from Senior Management on the performance of the audit review and value added services.
