Senior Manager, Business Development

Responsibilities

To support the expected substantial profitable growth of the business.
To strive to be competent in solution design and sector-specific skills/projects.
Reengineering of unprofitable operations.
To train and mentor country Assistant Managers on specific skills.
Provision of solution analytical support for implementation.
Diversity of culture and countries across Malaysia.
Developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets.
Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets.
Taking responsibilities for profit and loss.
Increasing market share in existing markets and maximizing new business development opportunities.
Achieving targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth.
Develop and maintain strong existing customer relations and loyalty.
Respond to customer enquiries/complaints.
Lead in engagements and strategic customer interface with key Corporate Customers.
Provide marketing and sales advice/information to the management team to facilitate business review & evaluation.
Support BD department to fine-tune strategic directive.
Drive and develop new business opportunities.
Drive market profiling to understand and identify market opportunities.
Lead sales initiatives to drive revenue growth.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in relevant field.
Fluent English skills.
Experience in 3PL industry, or any part of the supply chain industry.
Knowledge and experience in managing a logistics operation.
Business development experience (proposal design, costing, commercial awareness).
Implementation experience.
Strong skills in IT-related aspects of logistics.
Excellent presentation skills.
People management skills.
Ability to adapt to and thrive in an environment with constant changes and information gaps.
Good team player and positive in outlook and attitude.
