Advise and represent the Company in all legal matters and ensure adherence to the law to protect the interest of the Company and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with all legal and mandatory requirements in relation to litigation matters; represent the company in all litigation cases.
Review legal contracts and agreements involving the organization, providing legal opinions on their content before formalization to ensure legal validity.
Advise on all pre-contract and post-contract issues; structure, draft, review, and negotiate contracts.
Act as a nodal point between the company and regulatory bodies.
Review and modify existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the legal framework.
Manage compliance reviews from a regulatory compliance risk, reputational risk, financial risk, and operational risk perspective to strengthen the regulatory compliance framework within the organization.
Conduct legal research to keep abreast of relevant changes in laws and advise the Board and Management on necessary changes and their impact on business operations.
Undertake other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess a recognized bachelor’s Degree in Law.
At least 3 years of working experience in the relevant field.
Familiar with contracts.
Experienced in litigation/legal proceeding cases.
Familiarity with the legal and regulatory framework for the construction/property development industry, particularly in the Malaysia market.
Demonstrate unyielding personal integrity.
Good communication and presentation skills.
