Job description

The Senior Learning and Development (L&D) Manager will lead the design, implementation, and management of initiatives that support learning, organizational growth, and talent development at JAG Group. This individual will oversee L&D, organizational development, and talent management programmes to drive engagement, enhance performance, and support the company’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

L&D Strategy and Organizational Development

  • Develop and implement an integrated L&D and organizational development strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Conduct organizational needs assessments to identify skill gaps, shape talent development programmes, and support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives that support culture-building, including engagement programmes, team development, and cross-functional collaboration efforts.
  • Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programmes, including leadership development, onboarding, technical skills, and soft skills.
  • Enhance current training programmes and incorporate diverse learning formats, such as instructor-led training, e-learning, blended learning, and microlearning.
  • Ensure that learning programmes are inclusive and accessible, addressing diverse needs and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Design scalable, modular training programmes that meet the needs of a growing workforce, including onboarding, compliance, soft skills, and tech skills training.
  • Utilize data-driven, innovative learning formats, including microlearning, mobile learning, and AI-powered content delivery.

Talent Management and Succession Planning

  • Oversee talent management initiatives, including identifying high-potential employees and creating talent pipelines for critical roles.
  • Develop and execute succession planning strategies in partnership with HR and leadership to ensure strong internal leadership continuity.
  • Design performance management frameworks, employee development plans, and career progression paths to retain top talent and drive employee satisfaction.

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define and monitor KPIs for programme success, creating reports and dashboards to assess L&D effectiveness.
  • Continuously refine and optimize content and delivery methods, balancing current trends with practical outcomes.

Team Leadership and Management

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop an L&D team, setting goals and providing regular feedback to build their expertise and career development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, operations, and other key departments to create synergies and foster a learning culture across the organization.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with department heads to understand their learning needs and drive targeted, relevant programmes.
  • Engage with external partners, vendors, and subject matter experts to bring high-quality learning solutions to the organization.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or any business-related areas.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in Learning & Development and Organizational Development, with at least 3 -5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing L&D programmes for a diverse workforce.
  • Skilled in training facilitation, public speaking, and delivering presentations to audiences of varying sizes and levels within an organization.
  • Strong understanding of succession planning, talent development, and performance management frameworks.
  • Experience with LMS and e-learning platforms, talent analytics, and change management models.
  • Ability to design efficient workflows and learning processes that integrate seamlessly into business operations.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a track record of fostering collaborative and inclusive team environments.
  • Ability to build relationships across boundaries, with sensitivity towards cultural differences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Positive attitude and able to work independently.
