About the role

Slot Design Studio(M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our talented team in our Petaling Jaya, Selangor office. This is a full-time position that will play a key role in overseeing and driving the creative vision and execution of our interior design projects.

Role Summary:

As the Senior Interior Designer, you will oversee the entire design process from concept to completion. You will lead a team of designers, collaborate with clients, and ensure that our design projects meet the highest standards of quality and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Management: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of interior designers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure professional growth and project excellence.
2. Project Oversight: Oversee all phases of design projects, including initial concept development, space planning, material selection, and final implementation.
3. Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and translate their vision into innovative and functional design solutions.
4. Design Excellence: Ensure all designs align with the company's brand and client expectations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity.
5. Budget & Time Management: Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
6. Vendor Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
7. Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• At least 7 years of experience in an interior design role, with a demonstrable track record of managing and delivering successful projects.
• Experience with architectural design is an advantage.
• Excellent design skills with a strong command of design principles, materials, and construction methods.
• Proficient in using various design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities, with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present design concepts and ideas persuasively.
• Thorough understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
