Senior Interior Designer

Job Responsibilities

1. Strictly hiring for Malaysians (In Klang Valley area).
2. Good communication and teamwork in assisting the design team.
3. Ensuring structural drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality, and are easy to decipher.
4. Overseeing the design process using technical expertise.
5. Working with the design team to ensure that their client's expectations are met.
6. Reviewing designs with critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
7. Maintaining thorough documentation of the design process.
8. Keeping up-to-date with changing building legislation and codes of practice relating to design and trends of corporate office design.
9. Participate in design meetings and provide continual input to optimize design and minimize futile work.
10. Develop and implement successful corporate office design strategies, outlining how the design team will create deliverables and implement them for the project.
11. Develop comprehensive scope-of-work and contract document deliverables list for each related discipline.
12. Manage distribution and production of project workload within the team.
13. Evaluate and motivate designers toward continued growth and leading design solutions.
14. Develop space planning, conceptual design, and design development to brainstorm for design direction and conceptualization, aligning to developing inspirational storyboards based on the project brief, from concept images and storylines to actual material specifications, furnishings, lightings, etc.
15. Able to prepare As-Built drawings and facilitate the project team in producing O&M.
16. Detailed construction drawings in Auto-CAD: Demonstrate understanding of how things are constructed by constructing innovative elements, taking initiative to discuss with colleagues and contractors/vendors on understanding material’s physical characteristics, speed of application to translate concept into design details and solutions in technical drawings.
17. To have a good understanding of office design, regulations, building by-law codes, and project implementation process is essential.
18. Responsible for the development, completeness of details & drawings, and conduct site measurements/validation to ensure construction works are carried out as per plan, in accordance with the specialist details and shop drawings.
