Senior Interior Designer

Homlux Interior Furnishing Sdn Bhd is an award-winning interior design and build company, certified with ISO and the highest grade of G7 in CIDB. Established in 1995, our HQ is based in Johor, with branches in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang. Our team of 60 members include young professionals and experienced experts.

Job Responsibilities:

Design Development

• To develop design concepts, layout plan and 3D drawings for the project assigned and translate the design detail for construction and fabrication.
• To liaise and coordinate with client on design and drawings when assigned by the management. 
• To prepare tender drawing, construction drawing and as build drawing base on each requirement. 
• To ensure accurate and high standard of drawings in accordance with the design proposal. 
• To lead Junior Designers to achieve design proposal and budget and conforms to company’s standard.

Meeting & Site Visit 

• To assist Sales Team & Design Consultant for any design brief and budget with client for design development when required and until client’s buy-off.
• To visit and evaluate site for better understanding of site conditions for design development.
• To visit sites and to resolve site issues related to design proposed.
• To maintain good relationship and communication with suppliers or contractors for ensuring the effective and smooth execution of each project.
• To coordinate design issues with project department and appointed sub-contractors at all stages of the project until handover.

Time Management

• To ensure all drawings in completed within the timeline given. 
• To plan work schedule from Design Development Phase to Construction phase for task planning by other departments.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Interior Design/Architecture
• 4 years of working experience in Interior Design field, preferably in Commercial 
• Possess excellent presentation skill and interpersonal skill
• Ability to deal with different levels of people
• Basic + high design commission + attendance allowance
