The Senior Infrastructure Specialist - Windows and Cloud is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the company's Windows and cloud infrastructure. This includes tasks such as:

1. Windows Server Administration
2. Cloud Administration
3. Deployments
4. Policies
5. Governance
6. Security
7. Upgrades
8. Migrations

The person in this role must also be able to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and act as an SME/escalation point. As a Senior, it is your responsibility to ensure a high standard of service to potential and existing clients is maintained through adherence to documented standards and procedures as laid out by the management team.

Job Description:

• Administer, support, and maintain Windows environment (On-premise and Azure) and VMware infrastructure VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Ensure that backups are performed regularly, tested, and in accordance with operational and technical standards.
• Monitor, manage, and maintain day-to-day activities of virtualized environments, respond and address system alerts, notifications.
• As part of a team, participate in 2nd and 3rd line incident troubleshooting and resolution and project work.
• Be part of the team to ensure the day-to-day operations and activities (e.g. Wintel technical support, Wintel administration, patching) are performed in an orderly and timely manner.
• Provide technical support for Wintel & VM Infrastructure (administration, ensuring availability, maintenance, and reliability).
• Responsible and accountable to manage and maintain systems that run on Wintel platform in various versions of Windows and VMware.
• Plan and implement change requests in accordance with the change process and business requirements.
• Deliver and implement projects according to HE standards and requirements.
• Provide fault investigation, troubleshooting, resolution, recovery, and root cause analysis.
• Review complex changes and upgrades in critical environments.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding and working knowledge of configuring, deploying, and maintenance of Windows servers (On-premise & Azure).
• Experience managing and maintaining virtual server platforms, ensuring regular backups, and maintaining documentation.
• Strong understanding of VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Working knowledge in Veeam backup is a plus.
• Basic knowledge in HPE 3Par and SAN switches technology is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge in Cisco UCS is a plus but not mandatory.
