Job description

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to provide strategic and operational HR support at our corporate office. The person will act as a key liaison between employees, management, and HR support services to drive business success through people-centric strategies. The role encompasses HR service delivery, employee relations, learning and development, performance management, talent acquisition, and compliance.

HR Operations

  • Serve as a central point of contact between site management, employees, and the HR Operations team, ensuring effective service delivery.
  • Identify and propose improvements to SOPs and processes for enhanced efficiency and follow through on timely updates and communication.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting tailored to site management needs.
  • Align with HRSS on policy updates, ensuring compliance with local regulations and effective communication to stakeholders.

Industrial & Employee Relations (IR/ER)

  • Collaborate with IR Centralized Services to resolve IR cases while ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating legal risks.
  • Equip managers with the skills and knowledge required for effective people management.
  • Address employee concerns through proactive engagement and identify areas for productivity improvement and cultural enhancement.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies, recognition programs, and events to foster a positive workplace culture.

Learning and Development

  • Oversee the end-to-end learning and development process, including TNA, ATP mapping, and training provider selection.
  • Support managers in identifying development opportunities and coaching for leadership growth.
  • Provide feedback for system enhancements to optimize training management.

Performance Management

  • Promote a high-performance culture by conducting awareness sessions, providing coaching, and facilitating KPI development and alignment across departments.
  • Ensure clear linkage between individual performance and rewards.

Talent Acquisition

  • Collaborate with leadership to understand and address current and future manpower needs.
  • Partner with TA teams to ensure timely hiring of suitable candidates and effective onboarding processes.
  • Address recruitment challenges and system issues to drive improvements.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Communicate guidelines and timelines for annual increments and bonuses, ensuring alignment with the "Pay for Performance" framework.
  • Act as a moderator during submission reviews and provide feedback to ensure consistency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of revised salaries in the HRMS for payroll processing.

Talent Management

  • Partner with leadership to maintain a robust talent pipeline and improve retention of critical positions.
  • Design and implement talent development programs, including career path planning for technical and non-technical roles.
  • Use assessment tools to gain insights into talent potential and program effectiveness.

Compliance and Audit

  • Drive compliance with social requirements and ISO standards, ensuring non-conformances are addressed promptly.
  • Participate in audits and meetings related to social compliance and ISO standards.

Change Management and Projects

  • Lead or participate in the implementation of HR systems, processes, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management on change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions in job roles, processes, and structures.

To succeed, you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR Generalist roles.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions, labor laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a dynamic environment.
  • Willing to work at Shah Alam area.
