Job description

Huo Long Malatang is an upcoming dynamic F&B brand specializing in Malaysian-style Malatang, offering an authentic and flavorful dining experience. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior HR Executive to join our growing team and contribute to our people-first culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:

  1. Lead recruitment efforts, especially for F&B roles, by sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  2. Develop and maintain strong pipelines of potential candidates.
  3. Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and requirements.

Employee Engagement:

  1. Foster a positive work culture through effective employee relations, conflict resolution, and support.
  2. Implement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  3. Organize team-building activities and engagement programs.
  4. Oversee immigration processes, work permits, and accommodation for international staff.
  5. Ensure compliance with local labor regulations concerning foreign employees.
  6. Manage the welfare and well-being of foreign workers, including accommodation arrangements.

Payroll and HR Administration:

  1. Manage payroll tasks, including verifying overtime and staff movements for accurate compensation.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including statutory contributions.
  3. Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity in HR systems.
  4. Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions in a fair and transparent manner.

General HR Functions:

  1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the business strategy.
  2. Stay updated on HR best practices and employment legislation to ensure compliance.
  3. Support the management in workforce planning and organizational changes.
  4. Lead training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the F&B or retail industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  4. Proven experience in recruitment, payroll, foreign worker management, and employee engagement.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to HR challenges.
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  8. Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  9. Fluent in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken).
