Senior Front End Developer (React JS)

The Role:

The incumbent is responsible for assisting the HOD of IT or team in the facilitation, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of each project for the business need; while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages.
• Develop and maintain high quality, fully tested source code, complying with high coding standards including monitoring and troubleshooting aspects (proper logging, exception handling, load balancing).
• Design mobile-based features.
• Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance.
• Provide technical assistance during User Acceptance Test.
• Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers.
• Write functional requirement documents and guides.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies.
• Convert normal HTML to reusable component libraries.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree / Diploma / Professional Certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any IT-related field.
• At least 10 to 20 years of proven working experience as a Front-end Developer.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.
• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills.
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
• Provide suggestions/solutions on clients' change requests.
• Flexibility to quickly adjust task priorities for unforeseen changes while following task deadlines.
• Communicate well with different teams without conflict, especially when it comes to working together to complete tasks.
• Hands-on experience with frontend technologies: ReactJS, Redux, SASS/SCSS, ES5/6, Node.js.
• Experience in solving problems like caching, pagination, etc.
• Knowledgeable on web services and able to integrate APIs into websites.
• Knowledgeable on mobile responsive approaches.
• Familiar with Git Repository.
• Required language(s): English, Malay & Mandarin.

• Experience in leading/guiding juniors.
• Ability to convert normal HTML to separate components using frontend frameworks.
• Experience in identifying and solving performance issues on the website.
• Understand metrics scores such as First Contentful Paint, Time to Interactive, etc.
• Self-motivated to complete targets/goals, and plan several phases of the target/goal and take action to achieve it.
• Willing to share knowledge with others.
• Willing to learn knowledge and skills outside of frontend developer job scope.
• Knowledge of SEO.
• Understanding of layout aesthetics.

Remuneration:

Negotiable based on seniority.
