KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Integrate large datasets and information, risks and uncertainties into economics to evaluate potential capital investment/business opportunities.
- Test assumptions' reasonableness and perform trend analysis to compare projection to actual/historical performance.
- Perform benchmarking to set reference points or to compare performance against peers.
- Conduct modelling and analysis with the consideration of demand-supply, costs, benefits, risks and uncertainties, to assess whether the benefits outweigh the costs.
- Perform break-even analysis and sensitivity analysis to highlight critical variables and major risks with high-value impact.
- Interpret results and extract meaningful insights/recommendations to support quality decision-making.
CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:
- Integrate capital investments across the value chain into long-term investment and capital plans, aligning with corporate strategies and financial targets.
- Interpret complex and unstructured analysis for recommendation to the management in supporting value-based decision-making.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Statistics or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience, preferably with knowledge in modelling and analysis, project or business planning.
- Juniors with the ability to learn fast can be considered for junior positions.
- Experience in the utility business is an added advantage.
Preference will be given to internal candidates.
