POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Accountant's role is a professional finance and administration role responsible for performing activities associated with financial and management accounting, cashflow management, statutory management, and maintaining effective financial controls while supporting the commercial activities of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This includes but is not limited to:

1. Providing analyses and commentary at each month-end review on profit and loss, balance sheet, account receivable ageing (and associated DSO), accounts payable ageing, and profitability by customer.
2. Performing account reconciliations.
3. Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are completed and all reconciling items appropriately addressed in a timely manner for review.
4. Ensuring all customer invoicing is completed within prescribed timetables and revenue recognized accurately and according to accounting policies and standards.
5. Ensuring all transactions are accurately coded.
6. Managing relevant cashflow requirements including the maintenance of a 12-week forward cashflow forecast. Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
7. Assisting with audit preparations.
8. Assisting with the preparation and submission of statutory returns as required.
9. Assisting with various budget and forecasting processes as and when required.
10. Assisting with special investigations/projects concerning a wide range of commercial accounting issues as required.
11. Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
12. Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
13. Taking all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of yourself and others in the workplace.
14. Ensuring that co-workers are treated respectfully and without any form of discrimination, harassment, or victimization.

16. Ensuring you are aware of yours and your team's (if any) responsibilities in relation to company policies, including and especially IT Security policies applicable to your role, and that all requirements of these policies are met as it relates to you and your team's (if any) role.
17. Performing other tasks or activities as directed.

1. A degree in accounting or a finance discipline.
2. A membership (or working towards) with a professional accounting body such as the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA).
3. Proven experience working in a multinational corporation preferably with Australia and New Zealand accounting practices.
4. Strong financial analysis skills.
5. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and specifically be able to apply pivot tables and multisheet formulas.
6. NetSuite experience highly desirable.
7. Commercial and business awareness.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills demonstrating the ability to communicate problems to others with the same skills.
9. Excellent personal planning and time management delivering outcomes according to a set schedule.
10. Ability to train and manage staff.
11. Ability to work with little to no supervision.
12. A bright and cheerful disposition, excellent personal presentation, and excellent communications and phone skills.
