We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Supervisor to join our team in our Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur office.

Key Responsibilities

1. Finance Business Partner for Petrochemical & Refining Technologies & Equipment (UPT) department; prepares forecast, supports tenders, and analyzes potential growth and risks to achieve yearly targets.
2. Support as ISC Finance for UMSB plant in Penang; assist and monitor monthly accounting close & ensure accurate reporting of financial results while meeting both local statutory, U.S GAAP, and Honeywell corporate policies including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
3. Work closely with accounting service provider and COE to prepare and submit monthly financial statements and forecasts including P&L, Balance sheet & ensure data integrity.
4. Review A/c reconciliations & IC Recharges between entities prepared by Outsource Support team & initiate corrective entries. Work closely with the team to timely investigate and resolve all BS Aged items including IC AR & AP Suspense issues.
5. Support local, US Tax team, and Government Relations to comply with reporting requirements.
6. Interact with external auditors & internal/external service providers including preparation of annual local statutory accounts & support audit process.
7. Expected to manage special projects as assigned.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

1. Familiar with Oil Refinery Unit Operations/process is a plus.
2. Hands-on, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
3. Teamwork – ability to influence diverse, cross-functional teams and to interact effectively with internal customers at all levels.
4. Strong project management skills and able to understand legal agreements.
5. High level of initiative & problem solving.
6. Results-oriented with strong process improvement mindset (change agent).
7. Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple demands.
8. Ability to work under pressure, flexible in working hours, prioritize workload & meet tight deadlines.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
10. Highly proficient in information technology financial applications particularly SAP and Excel financial models.
11. License audit (Intellectual Property) experience would be beneficial.

You Must Have

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Extensive experience in performing similar roles.

We Value

1. Four-year bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, CPA or equivalent is preferred but not required.
2. At least 10 years of diverse finance and accounting experience in progressively responsible roles, MNC or accounting firm experience is preferred including audit experience.
3. Commercial business experience (i.e. business analysis, financial planning & analysis) is highly desired.
4. Knowledge of Project Accounting.
5. Knowledge of Malaysia & Singapore statutory & Asia tax laws and regulations.
