Senior Finance Specialist

About the role

Join PM Access World (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. as a Senior Finance Specialist in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will play a key part in the company's financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and review financial statements, reports and other accounting records
• Analyse financial data and identify trends to support management decision-making
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies and procedures
• Ensure all the audit/tax schedule including payables aging, receivables aging, bank reconciliation, fixed assets register, etc. are up to date
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in yearly budget/quarterly forecast and submit to the stakeholders on timely and accurate manners
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and liaise with auditors
• Provide financial support and advice to business units
• Perform month-end closing and handle full set of accounts for the Malaysia's entity in a timely and accurate manner
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, auditing, preferably in the Accounting industry
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, regulatory requirements and best practices
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools
• Knowledge and experience in Oracle & Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA) preferred
