Job description

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable divisions, as well as overseeing the company’s financial transactions, budgeting, and reporting processes. You will collaborate closely with management and other departments to ensure financial processes are executed efficiently and in alignment with company objectives.

This position will be based in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Management:

  • Review invoices issued to clients by the Accounts Receivable Manager.
  • Ensure timely issuance of invoices and closely monitor deadlines.
  • Track and monitor accounts receivable and collections on a weekly basis.

Accounts Payable Management:

  • Verify and check payment vouchers (PVs) for accuracy.
  • Oversee payment processing to suppliers and principals.

Financial Transaction Management:

  • Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and monitor cash flow to ensure the company’s operational requirements are met.
  • Ensure cash advances are properly administered, reconciled, and documented.

Budget Preparation and Monitoring:

  • Prepare and manage the finance department budget and ensure company-wide budget compliance.
  • Monitor and control departmental expenses to ensure alignment with the approved budget.

Accounting System & Team Oversight:

  • Issue journal entries for salaries, adjustments, and other financial transactions.
  • Review journal entries prepared by the finance executive on a monthly basis.
  • Perform and review bank reconciliations for various accounts (Affin/CIMB USD and RM accounts).
  • Monitor and review intercompany balances between related entities.
  • Review and approve financial data captured in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and submit monthly financial reports to management.

Yearly Financial Reporting & Tax Coordination:

  • Coordinate the preparation of the company’s annual financial report, schedules, and audits.
  • Prepare tax estimates, computations, and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Review draft audited financial reports, tax computations, and transfer pricing reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with a focus on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
  • Experience in preparing cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial reports.
