YOUR NEW ROLE

This role oversees the financial operations of the Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strategic cash flow management, and compliance with statutory requirements. You will lead a dedicated team and collaborate closely with top management to enhance financial performance and support business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversee the accurate recording of financial transactions, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
2. Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives, fostering sustainable growth.
3. Prepare and present financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) to management and stakeholders.
4. Ensure timely compliance with statutory reporting, liaising with authorities where necessary.
5. Review monthly financial reports for completeness and accuracy, identifying trends and discrepancies.
6. Managing cash flow, ensuring efficient cash management and timely forecasting.
7. Oversee supplier payments and ensure efficient banking relationships and transactions.
8. Lead the budget preparation process, ensuring alignment with company goals.
9. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure year-end audits comply with proper accounting standards.
10. Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction, recommending actionable strategies.
11. Implement and optimise accounting systems to improve operational efficiency.
12. Manage tax compliance including review of tax returns, estimates, and deferred tax computations.
13. Oversee corporate and legal documentation in accordance with local regulations.
14. Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of learning and development.
15. Handle ad-hoc financial assignments and tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor's or Professional Degree in Finance/Accounting.
2. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a proven track record; experience in the property development sector is an advantage.
3. Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English; additional language skills are a plus.
4. Strong knowledge of financial accounting and processes, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
5. Experience with accounting software (MHW Accounting System is a bonus).
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and offer solutions.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in team leadership.
8. Growth-oriented mindset, capable of handling complex financial scenarios.
9. Familiarity with digital tools and a tech-savvy approach to financial management.
