Job Opportunity: Senior Finance Executive/Finance Executive

Responsibilities:

• To assist in managing a full set of accounts
• To perform month-end closings and prepare monthly financial statements
• To assist in monitoring and reviewing departmental variance reports and bank reconciliation
• To assist in analyzing budget, cash flow, project analysis, and other related analysis
• To assist in preparing management reports, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely reporting
• To prepare audit schedule and manage the auditors during annual audits
• To ensure all petty cash transactions are recorded properly
• To assist in the submission of related taxes
• To ensure compliance with local regulations and requirements as well as Accounting Standards
• To review monthly reconciliation and reports
• To assist and perform all ad-hoc assignments as assigned
• To ensure Journal Entries and Account Ledgers such as GL, AR, and AP are correctly recorded and prepared on a timely basis
• To record and process all business transactions within the organisation's accounting system using principles of double-entry accounting
• To handle daily operations and understand the whole process of the business
• To perform monthly and yearly closing activities
• To provide supporting documentation for audits
• To liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and others on work-related matters

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent
• Currently pursuing ACCA certification or already holding ACCA qualifications
• Additional Software Proficiency Required: SQL and SPBK
• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Strong analytical ability, positive thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Sharp time management skills and ability to work independently
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
• Fast learner and able to work under pressure with a teamwork-based approach
• Pragmatic, hands-on, flexible, and adaptable to change, continuously driven to challenge and improve
• Good communication skills in both Malay and English
