SENIOR FINANCE EXECUTIVE/ ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing actionable insights to management.
  • Support cash flow management and monitor working capital, ensuring effective liquidity management.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the finance team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Review and process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Manage and reconcile general ledger entries, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and review financial reports for management, highlighting key financial trends, performance, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax laws.
  • Coordinate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making processes.
  • Monitor and implement internal control procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA) is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a senior finance position or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in SQL/Autocount and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership capabilities and experience managing junior finance staff.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Exposure to business performance analysis and strategic financial planning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
