Job Description
The Senior Finance Analyst (FP&A) is responsible for supporting the Head of Finance by preparing analytical reports and generating standard monthly reporting.
The Primary function of the Senior Finance Analyst (FP&A) role is to aggregate business unit financial information and coordinate with the business units and corporate accounting to gather additional information and commentary.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Generate monthly reports supporting the monthly Business Review.
- Evaluate reported results for accuracy and completeness. Work closely with the individual business units to enhance understanding and analysis of the reported results.
- Act as the Adaptive IT admin to coordinate and align on any system changes (program name changes, discontinuations, roll-ups, etc.) with other systems like CRM, Keyhub etc.
- Manage, update, and analyse the financial forecast in Adaptive Insights.
- Manage the overall model including levels, dimensions, users, and structure and acts as a subject matter expert and administrator of the Adaptive Insights system.
- Manage and implement the monthly time allocations to track and prepare programmatic contribution margins.
- Perform variance analysis to compare actual performance with budgets and forecasts, and support ad-hoc financial analyses for specific organizational needs.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes by gathering data and performing analysis.
- Key Contributor in the preparation and presentation of Consolidated Long-Range Plan, Consolidated Budgets and Forecasts.
- Assist senior leadership by providing presentations and ad-hoc financial analyses.
- Other assigned duties as and when needed by the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or a related field from a recognized Malaysian University.
- Professional accounting qualifications recognized in Malaysia, such as CA, CPA, or the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) would be highly regarded.
- 5-7 years of experience in financial modeling, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Proven working knowledge of IFRS, laws, rules and regulations.
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills to support detailed financial work.
- Experience with data management and data analytics functions are a plus.
- Results-driven, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and tackle complex issues.
- Experience with financial software and systems. Adaptive System experience would be looked upon favorably.
- Ability to communicate financial insights effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
