Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance and Accounts Executive to join our dynamic team at LEMAX TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. Based in Senai Johor, this full-time role will be integral in driving the financial operations and reporting for our growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the full set accounting by managing daily transactions, documentation filing, and both month-end and year-end closing processes.
  2. Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules, ensuring complete accuracy in all recorded data.
  3. Manage all aspects of AR and AP by verifying and preparing payments for suppliers, vendors, staff claims, and petty cash reimbursements.
  4. Validate supplier and customer invoices and statements while performing timely reconciliations and managing aging reports.
  5. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, supported by detailed accounting schedules.
  6. Conduct bank reconciliations, analyse variances, and offer insightful commentary on financial performance to support strategic decisions.
  7. Develop and monitor comprehensive budget plans and cash flow forecasts, ensuring efficient capital scheduling and control of income and expenditures.
  8. Oversee the factory’s financial planning and cost control measures, ensuring budget adherence and optimized capital structure.
  9. Ensure adherence to Malaysian accounting standards and statutory requirements by preparing and filing tax returns (e.g., SST, corporate tax, withholding tax) accurately and on time.
  10. Perform detailed costing analysis for manufacturing operations by gathering, analysing, and summarizing cost data (such as parts, labour, and machine hours).
  11. Oversee production cost allocations, maintain a robust costing system, and coordinate annual physical stock checks to ensure precise inventory valuation and product costing.
  12. Leverage ERP and accounting software to automate financial processes, ensuring data accuracy and efficient reporting.
  13. Implement and monitor e-invoicing systems to maintain compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
  14. Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and government agencies to facilitate audits and statutory reporting.
  15. Coordinate with these stakeholders to resolve financial queries and ensure seamless communication.
  16. Respond promptly to internal and external financial queries, assist in ad-hoc financial analysis, and support various management and banking-related tasks as required.

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; Recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA) is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting, including at least 3 years in finance and cost accounting within the manufacturing sector.
  3. Must have LMW and COO working experience.
  4. Prior experience in product costing, management reporting, budgeting, and cost control in manufacturing, engineering, or related industries is highly advantageous.
  5. Proficient in ERP financial systems and accounting software; advanced skills in MS Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables) and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics.
  6. Experience in ERP implementation and electronic invoicing (E-invoice) operations is an added advantage.
  7. In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and statutory compliance, including familiarity with Malaysian tax laws, customs, foreign exchange regulations, and filing cost analyses or financial statements requirements.
  8. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin, with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
  9. Must fluency in Mandarin is preferred for liaising with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
  10. Highly Integrity and proactive attitude are required.
  11. Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  12. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.

Working hours: Mon-Fri (8:30 a.m.- 6 p.m.)
