Senior Field Engineer

Job Overview:

The Senior Field Engineer prepares for and executes offshore pipeline and umbilical pre-commissioning operations.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
2. Extensive knowledge & experience of offshore EPCI / T&I projects including execution, safety management, budget control, schedule control and quality control management
3. Familiar with international codes and standards
4. Good communication, coordination and organizing skills the ability to work with minimal supervision and liaise effectively and efficiently with other team members and stakeholders
5. Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and integrity
6. Stakeholder Management skills - Proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external parties
7. Delivery orientated. Able to manage time and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

1. 7 plus years of experience in the oil and gas industry working for major Contractors
2. Experience managing a team of more than 2 Engineers
3. The following experience is required –
   • General experience of all shallow and deepwater installation operations.
   • Rigid & flexible pipeline pre-commissioning experience - execution of a minimum of 4 projects
   • Umbilical pre-commissioning and controls/start-up experience - execution of a minimum of 4 projects

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Works with the Operations Engineer to develop pre-com execution methodologies for offshore projects
2. Provides input for the selection of the required pre-com and marine
3. Provides key inputs for engineering and planning to be developed
4. Detailed reviewing of internal and external deliverables (drawings, reports, procedures, risk assessments, scopes of work, subcontracts)
5. Define and order equipment and installation aids
6. Specify and identify suitable pre-com spreads and vessels
7. Preparation of subcontractor scopes of works followed by the award and execution of the subcontract
8. Preparation of pre-com procedures
9. Prepare and perform constructabilities and operational risk assessments
10. Mobilize pre-com equipment and vessels to execute work scopes
11. Arrange the testing and load-out of pre-com equipment and installation aids
12. Coordinate the execution of offshore pre-com work scopes
13. Coordinate the demobilization of the pre-com equipment, marine spread and the off-hire of subcontract equipment
14. Work at site and offshore as required by the project
