Senior Facilities Executive

Job Brief

Responsible for the management of mechanical and electrical equipment/facility that support the core business of BMMY using best practices to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.

Job Description

1. Direct assigned facility personnel to assist in day-to-day operations and project completion.
2. Support reporting Senior Technician/Technician in troubleshooting problems encountered.
3. Supervise & monitor systems including Electrical, HVAC, Clean room, LEV, FMCS, PCW, CDA, RODI, water supply, Fire Fighting and Building Maintenance.
4. Undertake specific tasks/projects given by line manager pertaining to the facilities department.
5. Perform routine inspections and ensure maintenance activities are carried out properly to ensure the plant is operated in a safe and cost-effective manner.
6. Develop and maintain predictive & preventive maintenance programs for facilities systems.
7. Develop and maintain operation & maintenance work instructions and checklists for facilities systems.
8. Maintain individual facilities systems design drawings and OEM manuals.
9. Manage projects and supervise/coordinate work of contractors.
10. Liaise with other departments, contractors, and vendors in daily operation activities.
11. Liaise with utility providers such as TNB, SAMB, DOSH, DOE, and government regulatory bodies on utility services and compliance issues.
12. Abide by legal standards set by DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and company safety practices on all work assignments.
13. Ensure quick response/restoration in any emergency situation.
14. Maintain 5S at all times.
15. Maintain the confidentiality and security of all data and information relating to BMMY.
16. Evaluate needs for facility staff training.
17. Identify and evaluate HIRAC and aspect impact and take necessary action to eliminate/reduce the impact/hazard.
18. Any other ad hoc duties as required by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

1. Qualification: Cert/Diploma in Engineering, Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the related field; Degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required for this position.
2. Experience: Minimum of 8 years work experience with more than 5 years of relevant work experience.
3. Skill: Candidates who possess a Chargeman certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga will be an added advantage. Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, and RBA is also an added advantage.
4. Language: Good verbal and inter-communication skills in English and Malay.
