About The Role:

We are currently seeking a Senior Executive/Associate - Legal Counsel, to join the team based in Noida.

Your main missions and responsibilities will be to:
  1. Conduct online research using open source and proprietary databases and draft reports accounting for and assessing any of the risks related to any of the Internal Requirements as demanded by needs of the Company business.
  2. Be a key actor of the Company’s efforts in preventing any of the risks related to the Internal Requirements by proactively identifying areas of improvement.
  3. Support the effective implementation of the Internal Requirements at the local level.
  4. Prepare, upon request, training and/or communication materials to support OCs/BLs Compliance Counsels and/or Legal Counsels (as needed) in their training and/or communication requirements.
  5. Ensure the efficient and effective review against the Third Party Due Diligence Standard of all third parties including Business Partners, Third Party Intermediaries, Subcontractors, Clients, etc. across the Company.
  6. Be a gatekeeper of due-diligence related information, to ensure quick and effective auditing and assessments of the related information.
  7. Support the Global Compliance Team in the coordination between the Compliance team and internal or external stakeholders.
  8. Manage the compliance documentation and logs for due diligences of Third Parties, Donations & Sponsorships, Conflicts of Interest and Gifts, Hospitality and Sponsored Travel, Data Privacy and any of the Internal Requirements.
  9. Conduct Restricted Party Screenings/Sanctions Screenings/Data Privacy Enablement of Third Parties.
  10. Work on data visualizations of all kinds to support the communication of the Compliance initiatives (e.g., PowerPoint/PowerBI/Excel).
  11. Support other domains within the GBS Legal team whenever required.

About You:
  1. Law degree (degree in computer science or computer engineering would be a plus).
  2. 3 to 5 years of work experience, preferably in corporate or law firm compliance practices.
  3. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, project, and presentation software.
  4. Maintains a high degree of credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality, and trust.
  5. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential - able to communicate across organizational levels in different countries.
  6. Strives to develop partnerships, teamwork, and good working relationships. Understand the complexities of a large international organization.
  7. Maintains strong legal and writing skills required to write and edit policies and procedures, reports, and memoranda.
  8. Demonstrates initiative, self-motivation, practical learning skills, enthusiasm, creativity, and an ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  9. Fluency in English required.
  10. Flexible and able to simultaneously work on a wide variety of tasks and projects, as well as being able to work across different time zones.
  11. Stakeholder management needs the ability to identify key stakeholders in the organization, build relations with these, and earn their trust.
