Job Responsibilities
- To draft, vet, peruse all forms of agreements such as Investment Agreement, M & A, SPA, & JV, letters, proposals, contracts and other documents on all areas of law and to carry out legal research when required.
- To coordinate with internal & external lawyers, regulators, and 3rd parties to ensure legal issues are resolved efficiently.
- To provide legal support on the business activities of the Group as well as its related companies.
- To provide administrative support and monitor legal documentation from initial to completion stage.
- Performing various tasks related to the legal matters of the company.
Job Requirements
- A recognized Degree in Law (LLB) or with Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP).
- Experienced in Legal Reasoning and Drafting of Venture Capital fund structure – LPGP, investment agreements, share sales and purchase, translation, etc.
- Minimum 4 - 5 years working experience as legal practitioner or as an in-house legal executive or investment company.
- Experienced in corporate commercial matters and display high integrity in handling sensitive information.

Company Overview
Ho Wah Genting Berhad (“HWGB”) was incorporated in Malaysia on 12 August 1993 under the Company Act, 1965 as a public limited company. On 28 December, 1994, HWGB was listed on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“BMSB”) and thereafter transferred to the Main Board of BMSB (currently known as Main Market of BMSB) on 2 November 2000.
HWGB’s principal activities are investment holding company and the provision of management services, manufacturing and trading of wires and cables, moulded power supply cord sets and cable assemblies for electrical and electronic devices and equipment. It is also involved in travel agent and travel retail outlet as well as provision of consultancy services to foreigners to reside in Malaysia.
HWGB Group has proposed diversification of its existing business to include healthcare related business, which includes the health supplement, biotechnology and healthcare technology sub-segment.
