Provide advisory on legal and compliance matters to support day-to-day business operations for Naza Group in order to ensure adherence to relevant regulatory guidelines and laws.
Typical tasks shall include providing timely, oral and written legal advice to related business units on projects, transactions, and disputes; drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
Monitor and advise on conveyancing matters, Legal Agreements for the business units and ensure legal compliance of the terms and conditions of the contract.
Manage and monitor all aspects of legal proceedings including litigation, arbitration, and mediation in which the company is involved. This includes reviewing and assessing the facts giving rise to a claim or defense, advising management, instructing external counsel, interacting with external counsel in the drafting and finalizing of court papers, and overseeing the conduct of hearings and trials.
Assist in the preparation of legal documents in line with Group legal requirements and directions.
Prepare and submit legal reports.
Provide legal advice to business units and explain legal matters.
Conduct legal research as needed.
Liaise with fellow professionals and external counsel.
Keep up to date with changing legislation.
Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law with at least 5 years of working experience in the required field.
Ability to identify and analyze legal issues and recommend solutions.
Proactive and able to work independently and as a team.
Good drafting, communication, and research skills.
High level of integrity and able to maintain confidentiality.
