Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the full spectrum of Financial Reporting including accurate & timely monthly Management Accounts, any necessary reports etc. in accordance with the management direction within the stipulated deadlines by working closely with the Team.
  • Supervise the Team's progress in completing daily/monthly accounting operational duties including data entry, receivables & payments, journals, treasury, reconciliations, fixed assets, reports preparation, etc.
  • Review payment vouchers & journal entries and assist in the approval process.
  • Maintain, update, and safeguard all information in a neat and tidy manner.
  • Report the Team's progress to management according to stipulated reporting requirements.
  • Perform cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring, and controls.
  • Prepare cash flow, financial budgets, banking facilities, etc. in accordance with management's direction.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, banks, and statutory bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in process improvement by assisting management to implement new improvements and cultivate a Continuous Self-Improvement culture within the Team.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.

Your day-to-day:

  • Full spectrum of Financial Reporting including monthly Management Accounts and necessary reports in accordance with management direction.

You are an ideal candidate because:

  • Degree in Accounting and/or Professional certificate such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years relevant commercial experience with ERP experience.
  • Experience in large scale retail accounting with proven supervision experience.
  • Self-directed, proactive, meticulous, and detail-oriented.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Mature, team player, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft programs.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Possess flexibility to travel when required.
  • Possess own transport.
