About the role
As Senior Executive, Contracts you will report directly to the Senior Manager, Contracts. This role involves overseeing pre- and post-tender activities, including prequalifying vendors, analyzing cost plans, preparing Value Engineering (VE), preparing draft tender documents, cost analysis, conducting tender interviews, preparing tender reports and recommendations, checking variation orders, preparing final reports, and closing final accounts. This role requires strong expertise in cost control, contract administration, and project coordination.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle overall pre and post tender activities such as checking preparation of draft tender documents/bills of quantities, review/preparation of cost analysis and comparison, conduct tender interviews, arrangement for negotiation, preparation of tender reports and recommendation, and contract management.
- Assist in ensuring the accuracy of consultant's cost estimates prior to tender/quotation calling to ensure design and material specified are within allocated budget.
- Ensure timely evaluation of tender/quotation and award to the respective contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
- Prepare letters of confirmation and/or letters of award or work orders when necessary and ensure timely award & contract binding.
- Ensure payment certificates and variation orders are issued in a timely manner and take corrective measures to prevent cost overruns.
- Assist in providing feedback on contractual matters.
- Ensure timely preparation of final accounts.
- Liaise and coordinate with project site team on project progress, cost control, variations, and contractual matters.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superior from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Possess at least a Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant field.
- High-rise building exposure required. Working with developers for at least 3 years in high-rise projects is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of proven working experience in related fields is required; experience in the property development industry is an added advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Pleasant personality with strong multitasking abilities, a proactive learning attitude, and a collaborative mindset.
- Good analytical skills will be an added advantage.
- Candidate must be able to work at Ampang Putra, KL.
