POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities of this role include coordinating and executing various promotions and shopping campaigns initiatives and related projects. This involves ensuring the effective implementation of strategies to drive both offline and online sales and seeking out potential partnership opportunities that align with the organization's goals and objectives.


Essential Position Functions
Campaign Management
  1. Planning & timely execution of various shopping campaign initiatives (included but not limited to marketing own shopping campaigns), ensuring effective implementation of strategies to drive sales offline and online.
  2. Execute the utilization of the A&P Fund through approved marketing events and activities, monitoring its effective use in meeting the agreed objectives and KPIs.
  3. Produce detailed proposals for events (e.g. briefs, timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets).
  4. Source for quotations/tenderers, make comparisons, and propose a suitable recommendation in line with the marketing budget for MM/SM/GM/SGM approval.
  5. Coordinate venue management, caterers, agencies, contractors, and equipment hire.
  6. Plan event layouts and the entertainment program, scheduling workshops and demonstrations/activities.
  7. Coordinate and liaise with suppliers for the approval of work permits, safety briefing, PE endorsement insurance coverage (public liability, workmen compensation, contractor all risk).
  8. Liaise with agencies and designers to create a brand for the event and organize the production of collaterals and communications items.
  9. Post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders).

Drive Partnership - Banks/Loyalty Promotion/Partnership/e-commerce
  1. Drive Marketing and A&P activities for Banks/Airlines/Loyalty/E-Commerce (Online Promo).
  2. Coordinate and monitor overall retailers, external/internal stakeholder project/event planning, deadlines, execution, and site coordination for partnerships.
  3. Liaise with retailers, vendors, and internal/external stakeholders to identify their requirements and expectations for each event or project.
  4. Liaise with Marcomm for PR, social media, and digital marketing support.

Online Products / Promotion
  1. Curate and promote assigned products/promotions that require online platform before handing over to product/revenue owners.

China Marketing Promotion/Partnership
  1. Drive promotion activities for China pax, working closely to support China Marketing strategies led by Marcomm team.

Key Challenges
  1. Identifying prospective partners and securing their commitment to collaborate in line with the objectives of marketing campaigns.
  2. Managing the work quality and timeliness of agency and vendor deliverables.
  3. Getting the support and buy-in from internal and external stakeholders towards the planned activities.
  4. Securing budget and management approval on the planned activities whilst ensuring ROI.

Skills
  1. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  2. Ability to generate new and creative ideas for events, promotions, and campaigns.
  3. Strong organizational skills, good time management, and interpersonal skills, highly disciplined with a team-player mentality and attitude.
  4. Pleasant and friendly disposition, good project management, negotiation, and creative-solving skills. Possess initiative and ability to think independently.

Minimum Requirements
Internal
  1. Degree holder with a minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in an Executive role, OR
  2. Diploma with a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in an Executive role, OR
  3. Certificate / STPM holder with a minimum of 5 years relevant working, OR
  4. SPM holder with a minimum of 7 years relevant working experience in an Executive role.
  5. Must achieve and maintain the following performance rating for two (2) consecutive years of at least:
  • Exceptional / A or Outstanding / B; and
  • Minimum Meet Expectations / C.
  • The employee must not be subjected to disciplinary punishments except for disciplinary counseling, caution, reminder & warning for the past 36 consecutive months immediately preceding the promotion.

  • Relevant Industries
    External
    1. Degree holder with minimum CGPA 3.0 with a minimum 1 year of working experience in advertising, marketing, event management. Experience in travel retail/retail/shopping mall is an added advantage.

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Advertising/Mass Communications/Business Management/Business Admin or equivalent.
