Responsibilities:

  1. Developing goals, strategy, detailed execution plans and working with internal team to ensure goals are met in a timely manner.
  2. Propose, plan, initiate, and close potential collaborations, partnerships and new merchants’ network development with internal or external companies (Corporates & SMEs).
  3. Manage all aspects of the partnership and merchant’s lifecycle, from deck preparation, program pitch, negotiation to implementation and ongoing management (ie: account management).
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of partners and merchant’s offerings into our product/ services portfolio.
  5. Monitor partners and merchant’s performance, providing regular updates and recommendations for improvement and increasing value.
  6. Build and foster long-term relationships with partners and merchants, acting as their primary point of contact and advocate within our organization.
  7. Interface between the partners, merchants and the internal team to align and develop new proposals, user requirements and execution plans.
  8. Provide program and technical support in a timely manner to partners and merchants, perform system configurations and set up.
  9. Attend physical or online events and roadshows to provide promotional or technical support for our organization, members, partners, and merchants.
  10. Conducting market research, attending conferences, meetings, and industry events to keep up with the latest market trends, technologies, and market demands.
  11. Providing trustworthy and data driven feedback, reports and analysis to the team and management.
  12. Collaborate with technical team on digital platforms testing and validation (ie: UAT) prior to the roll out of new modules, features or enhancements to ensure it meets the user requirements and expectations.
  13. Brainstorm and propose new and exciting advertising or promotional campaign for the programs.
  14. Responsible for the ideation, sourcing, development and sales growth of local brand apparels and merchandizes business portfolio.
  15. Perform administrative tasks for the initiation, follow-ups and up-keep of approval documentations and comply with company policies.
  16. Other responsibilities and ad-hoc tasks as per business needs or changes.

Job Requirements:

  1. Candidate should possess Bachelor degree (or above) in Business/Management, Entrepreneurship or equivalent.
  2. At least 5 years of working experience in a relevant field (ie: Marketing, Business Development, Partnerships, Account Management, Project Management)
  3. Proven experience in partnership/ merchant management or a similar role within digital commerce sector
  4. Analytical and critical thinker. Able to fuse business, strategy, finance, and legal concepts to lead and manage complex, multi-faceted projects and deals.
  5. Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  6. Effective presentation skills and ability to develop catchy presentation slides or tools.
  7. Possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to build positive relationships with business partners.
  8. IT platforms and digitally fluent (ie: BI Tools, management systems, Microsoft Power Point and Excel) and excellent market knowledge of the consumer digital products field.
  9. Strong adaptability and flexibility to ever changing business needs.
  10. Possess own transport and willing to travel outstation regularly.
  11. Willing to work on weekends/ public holidays as per business needs.

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) is a member of the Hong Leong Group, a Malaysian conglomerate with diverse businesses interests in various countries globally. HLYM's humble beginnings started in 1978, when Hong Leong Industries Bhd and Yamaha Motor Co Ltd of Japan (YMC) signed the franchise agreement to venture into manufacturing, assembling and marketing of Yamaha motorcycles in Malaysia. It rolled out its first CKD Yamaha street model, RX100 at Shah Alam plant in 1979. The Yamaha motorcycles are principally for sale in the domestic market.

After merging its marketing and distribution arm into a single entity, HLYM relocated its factory in 1997 and occupies an area sprawling 35.6 ares in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The entire HLYM complex consists of a Main Office block, R & D centre and 4 factories engaged in press and welding of metal parts, spray painting, assembly operations, plastic injection moulding and a designated warehouse for distribution of CBU motorcycles.

HLYM continues to invest in new technologies and equipment to improve productivity and upgrade the skills of workers on the transfer of technology with the guidance and coaching of YMC engineers and consultants.

Today, HLYM is proud to be in the unique position of being the motorcycle manufacturer in Malaysia with triple certification of ISO 9002 (Quality Management System) from SIRIM, TPM Excellence Award from JIPM and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) from SGS Malaysia/SGS UK.
