Job description

Job Purpose

Grow the international business platform and programmes in DCD to achieve committed outcomes.
Promote and grow the Malaysian Animation industry and to position Malaysia as Regional Digital Content Hub.
Project management, planning and execution of Animation-related program.
Build and promote an international sales network for local animation startups.

Duties And Responsibilities

Business Network Building:
Build a business network to promote the Animation, Licensing, VFX & Digital Comics industry in Malaysia.
Support and facilitate expansion, attraction and relocation of businesses in Malaysia.
Provide inputs for marketing and communication plans to position Malaysia as a regional hub for Animation/ Digital Comics development to commercialization.
Execute programmes with International buyers to develop business growth opportunities, based on the exploitation of titles (assets), and services.
Manage Portfolio of clients and buyers while maintaining a healthy pipeline to achieve assigned targets.
Project Management & Program Execution:
Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of Animation-related programs.
Develop and optimize processes to ensure smooth implementation and effective delivery.
Manage client relationships, ensuring timely deliverables and quality output.
Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders for seamless coordination.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and objectives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Program Growth and Development:
Execute end-to-end project management for Domestic Direct Investment (DDI) projects to ensure the successful delivery of goals and outcomes.
Execute end-to-end development and implementation of programmes to drive the growth of the industry. This includes planning, monitoring delivery and reporting.
Provide support in analytical reporting and assessments of programs and plans.
Promotional Activities:
Execute programmes & promotional platforms as well as create/suggest marketing collateral for the attractiveness of Malaysia as the preferred Southeast Asia Hub for Animation.
Ensure the end-to-end execution of successful programmes & promotional platforms.
Stakeholder engagement to ensure successful execution of implemented ecosystem development plans.
Support the execution of high impact event platform.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure accurate and effective information and data repository.
Ensure work reporting is executed according to company’s integrity and governance.
Ensure process improvement within daily work.
Content Development & Creative Support:
Assist in developing promotional and marketing materials for animation programs.
Support the creation of pitch decks, reports, and proposals with visually compelling designs.
Work closely with the creative team to ensure branding consistency across materials.
Value-added advantage: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / Canva.
Learning and Growth:
Actively enhance personal development of skills and acquisition of knowledge.
Continuously keep abreast on latest trends and technology of the industry.

Qualification

3-5 years of experience in business development role or relevant industry role, especially in the Creative Industry.
Bachelor's Degree in any related fields.
