To support and assist Senior Manager, Group Legal on all assigned tasks
Responsibilities:
Case Management – Assist Senior Manager, Group Legal, to monitor progress of each matter handled by Senior Manager, Group Legal, including gathering or requesting requisite information or documentation from internal stakeholders, coordination on each matter until matter is closed (including all litigation matters affecting Lion Group of Companies whether as Plaintiff or Defendant).
Legal Research – Conduct legal research as may be assigned by Senior Manager, Group Legal from time to time and staying up to date on changes in laws and on new developments on laws, rules and regulations concerning business affairs of Lion Group of Companies.
Documentation – Drafting and reviewing legal letters, legal documentations as may be assigned by Senior Manager, Group Legal from time to time including preparation of template legal documentations and ensuring proper filing (both softcopy and hardcopy) and keeping of records.
Internal Stakeholders Management – Assist Senior Manager, Group Legal to attend to queries or request for updates on matters from business units/divisions/other departments.
Assist Senior Manager, Group Legal in handling various legal matters and addressing legal issues as they arise.
Assist Senior Manager, Group Legal in providing legal advice and corporate support to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, best practices etc.
Assist Senior Manager, Group Legal in providing legal support to Group Secretarial from the perspective of Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and Companies Act.
Assist Senior Manager, Group Legal to oversee ad-hoc assignment(s) in providing legal support to Group Compliance (whenever required) on formulation of compliance policies and procedures aligned with recent requirements from relevant governing authorities.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Laws, Professional degree in Law or equivalent.
Internet and tech savvy.
Computer literate, skilled in basic MS Office applications.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Prior working experience as in-house legal (experience in legal areas such as corporate commercial, conveyancing, and litigation matters are preferred).
