Responsibilities:

  1. Full Set of Accounts: Managing the full accounting cycle, from accounts payable (tracking what the company owes) to accounts receivable (tracking incoming payments), handling fixed assets, and managing the general ledger.
  2. Monthly Closing and Management Reporting: Ensuring accurate, timely financial closing each month, which involves reconciling accounts and preparing reports that inform management of the company’s financial standing.
  3. Financial Forecasts and Projections: Predicting future financial performance, often with input from department heads, typically including budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
  4. Daily Cash and Cheque Collection: Managing daily cash flow by collecting and recording cash and cheques, ensuring all records reconcile with the actual receipts.
  5. Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: Handling invoicing, billing, and credit/debit notes for accounts receivable; responsible for data entry and adjustments for accounts payable, as authorized by the Finance Manager.
  6. Bank and Other Reconciliations: Conducting regular bank reconciliations to match the company’s cash balance with bank statements, reducing discrepancies.
  7. Accounting Schedules and Coordination with Auditors: Preparing schedules that detail various account balances and liaising with auditors and tax agents for compliance and audit-related activities.
  8. Ad-hoc Assignments: Supporting the finance team on miscellaneous assignments as needed, which may include financial analysis, process improvements, or special projects.

Requirements:

  1. Educational Qualifications: A Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, or a similar field; ACCA, LCCI, or an equivalent certification.
  2. Experience: A minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the hospitality sector.
  3. Skills and Abilities:
    • Proactive and Independent: Able to work independently with a high level of commitment and initiative.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial data and support decision-making.
    • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software is essential.
