We are looking for Senior Events Manager to join our team!

This is a Clustered position for Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang & Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang.

As a Senior Events Manager, we rely on you to:

1. Ensure coordination between the Events Management Department and Front Lines / Back-of-House Departments.
2. Direct and drive all activities of the department, with specific responsibilities for ensuring high quality standards delivered by the Team.
3. Develop and implement action plans set forth in the Marketing Plan.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a Diploma, Degree or any relevant certification in the field.
• Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in an international class hotel and at least 2 years working experience in a similar position.
• Is effective bi-lingual both orally and in writing in English & Malay.
• Is a strong leader with good financial acumen and excellent knowledge of the local market.
• Can direct the events team to achieve the catering revenue goal as set by the hotel.
• Is able to contribute ideas and feedback to the operations team for service enhancement.
• Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
