Senior Equipment & Maintenance Engineer (Ipoh / Prai)

Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for equipment maintenance and improvements for die attach bonders, wire bonders, welders, ovens, testers, etc.
2. Lead a group of technicians.
3. Identify, lead and implement cost reduction activities.
4. Prepare & perform new equipment set-up and buy-off.
5. Ensure proper facilities are available for new equipment set-up.
6. Liaise with equipment vendor to improve tool capability.
7. Provide feedback on equipment and material issues/make recommendations and offer solutions to ensure new products meet requirements.
8. Work with process engineers in preparing and updating process documentations and work instructions for assembly line process and equipment.
9. Collaborate with production team in improving yield & UPH of the assigned processes, including cost reduction activities.
10. Ensure compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
11. Drive continual improvement.
12. Practice risk-based thinking in planning and execution of tasks.
    
    

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering – Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic/Electromechanical, Computer/Telecommunication or equivalent.
2. Relevant working experience in networking, test process or product transfer.
3. Familiarity with product development process & proven success of releasing products to production.
4. Understanding of basic test methodologies and ability to interpret/read electronic schematics and mechanical drawings.
5. Experience working with fiber-optic/laser products.
