Senior Engineer, Project - Packaging (Sime Darby Energy Solutions Sdn Bhd)

• Degree in Engineering. Preferably with Electrical or Mechanical background
• At least 5 years’ experience in project execution related to rotating or critical equipment.
• 6-9 years minimum experience in engineering project management and rotating machines such as turbines, engines, etc.
• Experience in packaging is an added advantage.

Job Requirements:

• Responsible for achieving complete design engineering, documentation, estimates, tender reports, construction execution, and commissioning for assigned projects.
• Monitor compliance with safety, applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Interact daily with Project Manager, Client, and Vendor/Suppliers on site works and progress to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and resolve issues that cause project overruns from key deadlines.
• Attend and coordinate meetings internally or with clients and contractors.
• Ensure works conducted by technicians and contractors are based on approved design and completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure the availability of resources for packaging works to proceed smoothly.
• Able to utilize software design tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, etc. for designing packaging items.
• Establish a sorting system for all components in the workshop to comply with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Prepare final system and documentation for all assembly components.
• Establish a database of fabricated items for future use.
• Conduct safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensure regulations relating to health, safety, and the environment (HSE) are adhered to.
• Maintain and ensure client/stakeholder satisfaction with the works to ensure sustainable and continuous business relationships.
• Responsible for ensuring that required Quality System/standards are followed in all daily activities. All QA procedures/standards and guidelines must be adhered to.
• Participate in safety, process, and/or improvement exercises conducted.
