Senior Engineer (Jig & Fixture, Manufacturing)

Responsibilities

1. Responsible to initiate data gathering from an actual / physical object to a 3D data using either conventional or technological techniques which provide tolerance suitable for each design.
2. Taking into consideration verbal or written instructions and implementing them into 3D & 2D data.
3. Responsible to revise and update existing 3D data / drawings reflecting design changes and coordinate closely with other team members to ensure accuracy of data being used.
4. Using final data to produce prototypes through 3D printing technology.
5. Responsible for maintenance and upgrading devices / software in the 3D printing room.
6. Responsible to carry out design changes and standardize design (jigs and fixtures) when deemed necessary.
7. Responsible to work closely with suppliers, operations, QA/QC, and production to ensure products are manufactured as per design expectations.
8. Responsible for checking drawings and validating designs prior to presenting to superiors, including frequent reporting of progress on all tasks to his/her superior.
9. To assist in generating the SCR for Project / Development components (if required).
10. Responsible for documenting every piece of information during the design stage and approval of design on each project and ensuring the files are up-to-date according to ISO 9001 standards.

What You Should Have

1. Able to take on responsibility for coaching and supporting 3D CAD Operators in design techniques and departmental processes, including checking and approving their work and tasks.
2. Responsible for managing all scope and assigned tasks in a timely manner based on his/her superior and company expectations.
3. Able to work with minimal supervision and always has a sense of urgency.
4. Updating software, drawings, and documents in a timely manner.
5. Experience in manufacturing/automotive/aerospace/consumer electronics/heavy machinery would be an added advantage.
